Last Tuesday, my first official day back in camp and back out thanks to the half day off for AI, i saved a guppy on my way to the MRT station. There's this aritificial pond in Choa Chu Kang interchange and there's lots of guppies swimming inside. Out of the corner of my eye i noticed that one flew over the cuckoo's nest, out the frying pan and into the fire. The poor dude was struggling helplessly, doing crunches in the air when it knew it could never achieve a six pack when it's got scales for a stomach, i decided to save its hide (lightly armoured may i add). Scooping it up was easy if I didn't have such thick fingers (all the better to strum you with, my curvaceous one) but I did. So i waited for it to leap one more time and caught it on my palm on its way down. Before I could move my eyeballs to find it, it had merged into the crowd, a sea of scaly swimmers.
Life's nice if there were no expectations of something in return. For a moment there i thought the fish was going to give me digits! *forget it*
As an afterthought, while i tap away at the keyboards, the connection timer spells 15:38:53 in hours minutes seconds respectively. isn't ethernet wonderful? This feat, if accomplished by my old USB modem, would be classfied under "miracle of miracles", no questions asked. Doesn't money just make the world go round? And square, and even twisted.
Oasis fever's gradually building up again, as i download old MTV's previously unobtainable due to restrictions by bandwidth. Lovin' iT!!! Just in: Don't look back in anger & Wonderwall.

feeling philosophical on productive performance

wearing your pants the wrong way may have its drawbacks, as i just realised today. though it looked the same no matter which way i wore them, the pockets were such that i had to reach really backwards to get my wallet. it's the little things in life. things you don't do may cost you. that's how my wallet ended on the steps of the bus while i was digging for it. did so many things today, had my phone repaired as its keypad was acting strange (in preparation for the SMS contest?? hardly), changed the USB modem singnet gave me to an ethernet which i must say is more reliable than USB anytime! and i'd gone to Sim Lim to get the PCI adapter for the modem. all in a day's work. gosh leave is so divine!
disclaimer on above picture: no damon's were hurt during the shooting of this photograph. it was in a bus, from NYJC open house (now own up, who didn't go?? =Þ) the photographer was, of course, my baby jo jo =)
