Must make it a point to update this thing, once a week at least. Just heard on the news that SISPEC (School of Infantry Specialists, for the uninitiated) will be shifting over to Pasir Laba Camp next year. That's a disaster for me and me bro (shown above)!! The 2 month reduction was a relief to hear, but the SISPEC which has shifted to a new place (from where we once went through hell together to a relative heaven on mainland Singapore) will no longer hold fond memories. Days when we chilled out listening to the radio together, did guard duty and still chilling out listening to the radio together, getting screwed by the warrants and yet still chilling out listening to the radio together. Oh wait we imitated the way he yelled at us as well. "Wake up your ******* idea, soldier" By making various references to the parts of the human anatomy, the army and its people have more than filled me up with colourful languages that i can now say are at my disposal. Still, we can bug our friend to pass us the photos we took there. Yes, contrary to popular belief, there are people who "test the system*" here in the SAF and bring in cameras every now and then and snaps pictures of soldiers in compromising positions. And when they're not doing that they use it to snap shots for friends of many years so they can remember the fond times they spent together. With all the potential Nights Off the new trainees will be getting since they are not stranded somewhere on a deserted island, they'll probably end up soft and fuzzy... like a teddy bear!
