Like any good leader, we must be forward looking. Not just looking forward to SLC 2007, but at the very near future that lies in wait. Here's the low down at what's happening from next Monday till December 4th when I finish the last paper.
NM2216: Introduction to Interactive Media. Still confused as to what it studies. I know there are guest speakers from media companies who will be coming down to preach.
NM2220: Introduction to Media Writing. I'm sure there's a lot of reading up on newspapers to remain current, and probably even a quiz on what we're reading. Hope to gain some advantage by being able to update myself via PDA on the latest news. This will help me sharpen my writing style to flaunt to the media that I will be writing to / for in future. (I secretly hope it's a "to")
NM3201: Media and Globalization. Though the word "globalization" brings back haunting memories of the geography module that I screwed up in my first semester, it is said that we can "mug" our way out. Mug I shall!
NM3215: Advertising Strategies. As its name suggests. A little background research says that the project will eat all the way till the final exam. Bless us all! I need to set aside modules to fulfill all Communication Management modules to be a PR practitioner!
Lastly, GEM2005: Film and History! The module Aaron and I have been preparing for even before I left for Hong Kong/ Shenzhen. We'd watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle at Starbucks, showing our devotion towards independent life-long learning (boy those nude scenes were good...), and I've watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind on my own.
An average of A- for every module. Since most are my core modules, I better get them right.
Believe.
And start putting beliefs into action.
Mugging into the wee hours of the night. A custom at Fudan University as I read in an article today.
So be it.
