to live in America, where every other day a great musician would be touring the states and you'd happen to be in one of them while the rest of the world can only wish they were nearer. Not to mention being able to root for a basketball team like Toronto Raptors, or Minnesota Timberwolves (haven't been keeping track of any name changes etc). Or to study in campuses that are surrounded by nature that makes imagining scenes from literature where it originated more enjoyable.
indeed, the Americanization disease has spread to this corner of Singapore, where by owning a product from there, you become, unwittingly, the slave of their culture. strongly due to the stratocaster sitting in front of me now that i am feeling this way.
good nite world.

Believe in Karma
So I had a taste of quick retribution yesterday.
Happened on the train to school in the morning, to catch Swallowtail (Butterfly) by Shunji Iwai and The Quiz Show by Robert Redford.
Morning entails packed trains. And into packed train enters lady with long hair. But unlike other ladies with long obedient hair, she had to have frizzy hair that was too long for her own good. So there I was, staring daggers at her back when her hair kept tickling my forearm on the pole, while I desperately try to read my lecture notes. Public nuisance number one.
From out of nowhere, a hand tapped me on the shoulder. Thinking it was a friend, I turn around slowly while guessing who it could be. I found myself staring at an ang moh face between two people's shoulders. An unfamiliar face. He told me to cut it out with my sniffling and that I was disturbing the peace and quiet in the train. My instinctive response would have been to tell him to go buy a car. Somehow it ended up as "I can't help it either, it happens in the morning." I even muttered "Sorry"(!) Just to be fair, he deserves the respect for pointing out things that people would usually suffer in silence for. But he gets the disgust for pointing it out at the wrong thing. If it is pole-dancing children or teenage couples smooching or people talking loudly on their mobiles, then by all means you get the standing ovation (from those who are already standing, of course). But if it's for an uncontrollable symptom like sinus in the morning, oh give me a break mate, in your own tongue, shove it up somewhere. Up your big nostril for one. Public nuisance number two. Me or him?
The joys of riding with the SMRT.

2. shows ur inconsiderate nature, yr oblivion towards others who are listening to both the lecture and yr erratic tapping
in lecture now watching Totoro clip! Yeah! Bluish dreamlike scene.

What to do on free days like today
Happy Birthday shout out to Yiwei, my bro since passing out from AISL, sharing our love stories among many things, from his attachment to singlehood shall I say >.<
not to worry, we got you 1 x ferrari (cologne, not the car) for your 22nd year on this planet! Courtesy from 3/4 of FrostBled.
dad stayed home today, and taught me how to win money in Genting. and he's gonna show me the ropes when we hit Macau end of this year. right.
compiling M1 survey results now for Public Relations module (how many undergrads actually fake their survey results, i wonder). yesterday's Theories of Communications and New Media presentation was a disaster. too softhearted to still give everyone the maximum points for peer appraisal? but i am proud of myself for splicing yet another video for the presentation from Brokeback Mountain.
tonite will come up with an HTML email for the interested students for CNM. first official project as Publications Director.
back to work.
useless fact of the day: in Cantonese, potable water is known as 冻滚水. literally that would translate into
"cold boil[ed] water".
What the 鱼?
