makes me want to get myself into prison just so that I can break out.
Woot!

Fathers
I can never understand him.
Maybe I never will.
I can't even understand how I can hate him so much and yet at the end of the day, tell the world that I have a great father.
I can never understand myself either.
Maybe I should.
It's a case of the most frequently complained topic revisited. People have been ranting and raving about not being able to communicate with their folks.
I wish we could understand each other more. I know verbal cues are useless. It's the non-verbal cues that matter. But I can't bring myself to show any forms of affection to someone so estranged. Too estranged.
Too distant.
Maybe I never will understand the old man in my lifetime.
I don't fancy how I will understand when I become a father.
I know I won't be such a fucked up father to my son.
I won't give him a good mindfuck every now and then, throwing out convoluted thoughts packaged in neat wrappings called "advice".
I don't need any of that.
Fuck it.
Maybe I never will.

In Innovasia on Channel Newsasia featuring Olivia Lum of Hyflux and Douglas Foo of Apex-Pal, I learnt that to keep moving forward is to never let yourself fall into a comfort zone. Yipes!
Useless fact of the day: Wheel clamps, also known as the Denver Boot, are prevalent on campus now. It is for staff and students who park illegally. And that's my breaking news story! Please score well!

An Overactive Imagination
is no good.
I thought of the slogan for NUS for my advertising copy assignment for Media Writing, promoting my school (wee!)
Here's how it looks:
NUS – no one else comes close.
Here's how it sounds:
(And you ass)... no one else comes close.
And that's how I spent 5 minutes of a rainy hazy Sunday afternoon laughing uncontrollably to myself.
The madness kind of gets to you when you slept at 1am and woke up at 4am to send your mother and brother off at the airport. (Hope you had a safe trip!)
Wee!!!!!
Disclaimer: I did not proceed with using this slogan of course in the event that some other person with a twisted mind as myself decides to see this irreverent reference to my school as something not deserving of the A. We can't let that happen now can we?
