Thump Thump Thump

The heart beats faster
With every breath,
The air gets thinner;
Your thoughts in a mess.

How can the cage called ribs
Hold something so potent
That provides from grave to crib
The vital element?

Been sent to dizzying heights
From a rush of blood to the head -
Defy it with all your might...
Why not relish it instead?

Come adrenaline,
It's the new saline
For the contact lens;
A cure for dull men.
